Wyn belongs to Community Gospel Church, Bremen, IN where he teaches adult Sunday School and is involved in a number of ministries. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Bethel College, Mishawaka, IN. Wyn has lived in Asia for over 15 years, serving as linguist/translator and as Country Director with Wycliffe Bible Translators, an inter-denominational mission organization dedicated to translating God’s Word into all the languages of the world.
Currently, Wyn is the President of an engineering and manufacturing company in Mishawaka. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Illinois, as well as an MA in Linguistics from the University of Texas in Arlington. Prior to his years with Wycliffe Bible Translators, he was a professor at North Carolina State University in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Wyn began his walk with the Lord as a junior high school student, and has been growing in the faith since that time. He and his wife, Carol, have been blessed with 30 years of a wonderful marriage, as well as with two daughters and one son, all of whom are married and walking with the Lord.
Wyn has traveled extensively worldwide, but nothing has impacted his life in a more profound and deeply spiritual way, than his visits to the Holy Land. It was on his first trip, with Ray VanderLaan and That the World May Know Ministries, that God ignited a passion within Wyn to help people experience and understand His Word in the original context of time, culture and place.
