The Show "Father Knows Best" was a ground-breaking television show in the 50's and 60's. It will be in syndication throughout the U.S. and the world again in March 2008. One of its stars was me, Lauren Chapin. I portrayed Kathy "Kitten" Anderson, the youngest child on "Father Knows Best." My parents on the show were the late Robert Young and Jane Wyatt. I am still working hard on keeping people happy - not so much on TV anymore, but through my ministry, Lauren Chapin Ministries.
In March 1979, the 18th day at precisely 9:30 AM, my precious five-year-old son, Matthew, led me to church - many churches as a matter of fact over a period of a year. His persistence - and God's - won out, and on March 18th, in Irvine, California, I met and received the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.
After five years of schooling, I was ordained as an evangelist and two years later I was licensed with the RMFGF and Maranatha Full Gospel Ministries International. I have been in ministry for more than 20 years, speaking in schools, churches, prisons, and many a street revival!
My first trip to Israel was in 1982 with my spiritual sister and mother figure, Gena Turley. God brought the right woman into my life to love and disciple me and my two children. Since then, I have been back many more times with Gena. We are known as the "Shalom Sisters." I will never forget that trip! And you will never forget this trip, either!
As Christians, we have been grafted into the Jewish family. So come home to our Lord's birthplace, walk in His footsteps, sense His presence all around you,, and see how the word of God becomes so much clearer and alive. You will see with your own eyes what you have been reading! For once I was blind, but now I see....Amazing grace."
